love with all your heart, hate with all your soul
is it possible that you love with all your soul, and hate with all your heart?
sometimes I wish that I don't have to love with my heart. so in any case I get hurt, it's still intact. I think it's easier to mend the soul than the heart. ever heard of "Chicken Soup for The Heart"? no, right? it's always for the soul. this and that for the soul. so many cures for the soul.
but a balm for the heart?
there's even a "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart?" by Al green.
and then when you hate, why leave your heart out of it? why spare the heart from hatred yet make it vulnerable to the misery that love can bring?
then again, to love and feel the anguish seeping through your veins only makes the essence of it wholesome.
I hate myself when I think of the past. I wish I was never there in situations I deem as stupid.
but you learn from mistakes. you live, you learn and there will always be someone better to care for you. every turn in your life gives you a whole new path to tread on.
